VinLeo BaZi Programme
The goal of the ancient Chinese art of Four Pillars (BaZi, or Eight Characters as it is commonly known) is to help us make informed choices in life.
VinLeo.com has launched BaZi courses for both students and practitioners. The BaZi Programme comprises three courses – the BaZi Fundamental Programme, the BaZi Practitioner Programme, and the BaZi Professional Programme.
The first of the series, the BaZi Fundamental Programme, is designed for students who are new to BaZi and would like to start learning from ground zero (the basics). The objective of the course is to help students build a proper foundation in Zi Ping BaZi, in preparation for advanced study.
Bazi Fundamental Course - Questions you should ask
- Are you able to determine the strength of a chart without falling in between as 'strong but not too strong or weak but not too weak' scenario? The method we advocate clearly defines a weak and a strong chart and there is no in-between.
- We understand the 3 criteria to determine the strength of DM. Besides in season base on the month branch, what is in ‘location’ and what is in ‘formation’ [in strength]? How do they play a part to determine the strength?
- How do we know when an Earth month is in season?
- The Resource star in the chart represents the mother of the subject. How to read the mother if the Resource star in not in the chart? The same question goes for the spouse and father. How do we read a chart if it is not found in the BaZi chart?
- How do you know that the father is a responsible person but not close to the subject?
- How do you know that the mother has a stronger influence on the subject than the father?
- How do you know the spouse is a housewife and not a career woman?
- How do you know that the children respect the parents?
These are some of the simple questions we will deal with in the Preparatory Course. If you have the answers to these questions, you do not need to attend this basic course.
Next, the BaZi Practitioner Programme explores principles, concepts and techniques of Zi Ping BaZi, and shows how they can be applied to practical issues. Students will learn about the 10 Stars and Palace relationships, completely based on Zi Ping BaZi without Shen Sha. The course provides plenty of real-life case studies, which helps students to practise reading BaZi charts.
BaZi Practitioner Course - Questions you should ask
- When is the Authority star good and when does it become bad?
- What are the 3 principles that is required for a combination to successfully transform into another element?
- A strong chart can harness wealth star, so obviously a weak chart cannot harness wealth star. A weak chart seeing wealth star means losing wealth. What must a weak chart see to harness wealth?
- If there is no spouse star in a chart, how do you analyze the relationship between Day Master and their spouses? Does it mean that there will not be a spouse in real life. The number of spouse stars does not represent the number of spouses. Otherwise, Ms Elizabeth Taylor would have 9 spouse stars in her Bazi. Possible?
- How do you know if a person is self-centred, egoistic and demanding?
- How do you read the difference between cunning and shrewd in a Bazi chart?
- Can you read the differences in minor health problems like cough and flu from the major one that may require observations in an Intensive Care Unit from the chart?
- Assuming a client come to seek your advice on lawsuit, when do you tell them to react pro-actively and when they should slow down and think it through thoroughly?
These are some of the more in-depth questions that we will deal with in the Practitioner Course. If you have the answers to these questions, you do not need to attend this course.
The final course in the series, the BaZi Professional Programme provides students with advanced tools for analysing BaZi charts with even better precision and at a greater depth, and includes techniques for analysing the Luck Pillar, Year Pillar and Month Pillar in relation to the natal chart.
The eventual aim of the BaZi series is for students to learn to read BaZi charts for personality and events systematically, consistently and confidently.
